At the same time, we help talented people do work that matters. SWIP brings innovators and freelancers together. Sharing ideas. Solving problems. Together, they foster innovation wherever it arises.
SWIP makes that happen by offering businesses and the crowd three paths to engage each other in open innovation: Challenges, Ideas, and Assignments. The SWIP interface’s Create Projects section lets innovators engage the crowd quickly. Freelancers can find the project that best matches their skills by searching SWIP’s Discover Projects section.
Challenge Projects
Businesses, governments, or non-profits sponsor prize-based competitions to solve business problems. Challenges crowdsource a more diverse set of solutions than traditional business approaches. Challenges can take one of three forms:
- Ideation: Produces many diverse answers to a business question.
- Concept: Produces a detailed solution to a business problem.
- Prototype: Produces a design that can become a finished product.
SWIP’s freelancers apply their unique skills to solve these real-world problems. They can work on their own or collaborate in teams. In the process, they can win Challenge Rewards and earn the respect of the world’s leading businesses.
Idea Projects
Individual inventors can crowdsource contributions to their own visions and ideas. They dive into SWIP’s ocean of freelancers to bootstrap innovation from the ground up. The SWIP community helps set these projects on the road to success. Along the way they foster a robust innovation society.
